6th-8th grade girls - on Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 6:30am-8:00am there will be open gym for Volleyball. Tryouts will be on November 27th - all athletes must have a current physical on file to be eligible to tryout.

On Friday, November 10, MGS will be holding a special assembly to honor our brave Veterans at 9am! We would like to invite every veteran or current military member who is a relative, parent, sibling, or grandparent of an MGS student. We ask that our invited guests arrive between 8:30-8:45am. We will provide assistance getting into the building and to your seats that morning. All veterans and their relatives may enjoy a reception in the foyer following the ceremony. A BIG thank you to MGS Student Council for your generous donation to the Playground! Student Council held a Coin Wars fundraiser and the top three classes earned a donut party! Congratulations to Mrs. Southerland's 5th grade class, Ms. Vogel's Kindergarten class and Mrs. Phillip's 4th grade class who won the donut party! A BIG thank you to all the students who turned in money for the fundraiser!

The Girls Cross Country Team finished 3rd at Sectionals and earned a place in State Meet next weekend! This is the first girls team to qualify for state in 12 years! MGS also had 2 boys qualify individually! Congratulations to all and good luck at State!
