Another Book Fair has come and gone. I want to thank everyone who helped with set up, volunteered during the fair, or helped with tear down. I love the fair but couldn't do it without all of your help. I also want to thank everyone who shopped at the fair. I love to see the excitement in the eyes of a student when they are getting a new book, or when they are buying something from the 'extra stuff' table. This was our best book fair ever with over 1700 new books put into the hands of our eager learners. The proceeds from the Book Fair will be used to purchase new books for the library so the students can enjoy all the new releases for their favorite series. Once again Thank You and we will see you at our Spring fair.

Join us tonight for Family Fun Night from 6-8pm. There will be Diary of a Wimpy Kid themed crafts, games, obstacle course, and scavenger hunt + shop the bookfair on its final day. A prize will be given to the most voted book cover design and all students who complete the scavenger hunt will be entered for a prize and receive a $1 book buck for the bookfair. We will also have an open gym for basketball and indoor soccer. Geo's pizza by the slice for $3 and soda for $1 at concessions along with a free snack and drink in the cafeteria. Come see the fun for yourself tonight!

5th Graders in 5B want to send a huge THANK YOU to the Metamora Foundation for Educational Excellence. The Foundation granted money to purchase "flexible seating" options for these kids to enjoy. Yoga balls, donut seats, wiggle stools, and wobble seats are all different versions of seating students can choose from. Thank you, Foundation, for your generosity and belief in our project idea!

The 4th grade classes spent the month of October reading a biography of their choice and becoming experts on their famous person. This past Thursday and Friday, they shared their information in a "first person" presentation dressed as their book choice. The students always have such a great time sharing their knowledge with others, while also learning about many other famous people. Well done, 4th graders!

Last night at the Board Meeting the Remarkable Redbirds for October were recognized. These students were nominated by their teachers for showing self and social awareness.
