5th Graders in 5B want to send a huge THANK YOU to the Metamora Foundation for Educational Excellence. The Foundation granted money to purchase "flexible seating" options for these kids to enjoy. Yoga balls, donut seats, wiggle stools, and wobble seats are all different versions of seating students can choose from. Thank you, Foundation, for your generosity and belief in our project idea!

The 4th grade classes spent the month of October reading a biography of their choice and becoming experts on their famous person. This past Thursday and Friday, they shared their information in a "first person" presentation dressed as their book choice. The students always have such a great time sharing their knowledge with others, while also learning about many other famous people. Well done, 4th graders!

Last night at the Board Meeting the Remarkable Redbirds for October were recognized. These students were nominated by their teachers for showing self and social awareness. Thank you to the MGS Foundation for supporting our music program. We are so grateful for the 18 barred instruments that they have purchased over the last five years. Mrs. Peck's class got to be the first students to play the 6 new instruments we received this week.
Metamora is so fortunate to have a police department that gives their time and resources to come and talk to K-2 students at Metamora Grade about Halloween safety. Thanks Metamora PD, the students loved their goody bags!

If you ordered Honor Flight apparel for this weekend's game, it may be picked up on Thursday in the main office at MGS from 8:30am-2:30pm or from 4:30pm-6:30pm in the New Gym lobby at MGS. You may also pick it up on Friday from 8:30am-2:30pm in the main office at MGS. All Athlete's apparel will be handed out to them by the coaches.
