Firefighter Springer came to talk to the first graders today about fire safety. He showed us his firefighter suit and had Mrs. Nolte help him demonstrate how he would have to carry someone out of a fire. The students' homework assignment tonight was to make sure they have working fire alarms in their bedrooms & hallway, that they have a safe meeting spot, & that they know their address. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Springer for taking the time to help us learn about fire safety!

MGS has officially launched our Beanstack site: https://mgsredbirds.beanstack.com/reader365 What is Beanstack? Beanstack is a web and mobile app used to track independent reading time, and help build a culture of reading in school and at home. Beanstack makes it easier for you to help kids track reading, keep kids motivated to read, and provide feedback and insights into the reading habits at our school. Beanstack is linked through Clever. When students log in to their account Beanstack will be listed under more apps. Please see the flyers for step-by-step guides to logging your student's minutes and how to download the app.
