AR is a 4th grade supplemental reading program where the students self select high interest books at their independent reading level. Prizes are awarded for earned point values as students move toward their individualized goal by assessing their comprehension and vocabulary knowledge. Celebrations take place halfway and at the complete goal deadlines!! It is with the generous support of the MGS Foundation over the years that this program has become a 4th grade tradition and the most asked about topic on the first day of school. The Foundation support allows us to provide prizes, party favors, games, books, and more. Fourth grade teachers and students are thankful to continue this wonderful program through the annual Foundation Grant.
